The Sunray chair is a traditionally constructed windsor chair, with a carved seat, spindles and a steam bent back bow.The spindles in the back do not run into the seat block, but instead fan out from the lower back rail giving a sun rise effect. The top of the seat has nothing joining into it, allowing the curved back and seat to sit comfortably together without touching.

William Warren runs a furniture and product design consultancy that works with manufacturers, distributors and retailers.
His approach is to answer briefs in lateral way, with attention paid to questioning utility and improving the overall emotional experience of the user. His products ask the viewer to think about their belongings, and are often humorous in their conceptual twist.
He works in a wide variety of materials, designing products and furniture for the domestic and educational markets. He has also worked as a design consultant.
William is a Senior Lecturer at London Metropolitan University and he also lectures in Kingston University, Goldsmiths College, Camberwell College of Art and Central Saint Martins.
William took part in Bodging Milano 2010 which was where Case discovered the Sunray chair.
